Step by step Draft Magazine Advert // Sachin Mistry

  1. The band logo looks good in the centre of the page, and draws together the white text and the black tones in the photography. The border works well, with the photograph overlapping and this defies the conventions of having a usual border to frame the whole advert. The minimalistic use of text gives enough information, whilst retaining an appropriate style for your band. I just think that the grey background needs to be shifted to the right, as its off-centre. Other than that, I think this is a very authentic looking advert.

  3. really good stand out images used which grab the attention of people, although i think the colour of the background is a little too boring but it goes well with the white writing and the font you have chosen, I think the final advert will be good as this is a great start.

  4. I really like the colour scheme you have chosen for your magazine advert as it immediately looks professional and the white border allows the text to stand out. The text has been positioned well around your image and in correspondence to your other text. The image of your band members allows for a direct link to the band and will immediately engage the audience. I like how you have continued your colour scheme even with the clothes that your band members are wearing as this looks professional. The only thing you could consider is having the main section (inside of the grey box) cut off at the rectangle edge. Although this has been done to allow for the full image of your band members I think it would be more professional with a clear white border that is unbroken around the edge. Overall this looks extremely professional and authentic.

  5. I like the image that you have chosen to use as it not only links to the digipak but also fits well with the advertisement arrangement. I like the colours that you have used as it represents the digipak well and looks authentic. I feel that the text has been displayed well and the simplicity is effective. I like how you have chosen to use the logo of the band on the advertisement as it creates strong connections between the advertisement, digipak and the band. I feel that you have chosen a high quality image that connects with the audience well.
