Draft digipack and poster - Milo O'mahoney

  1. The advert looks authentic. I like the manipulated image on the cover, and the white border surrounding it makes the whole thing look neat and professional. The ratings look realistic, and the advert is intriguing - particularly with the only text (aside from the ratings) being the album title and band name. The only thing I would suggest that needs to be changed is the font of the album title and band name - as I feel that perhaps it doesn't fit with the rest of the advert/your digipak. Also, you could maybe include the band logo somewhere on the advert to tie it with the digipak.

I feel that the images of fire don't link to the rest of your digipak/advert, however I think you have maintained the colour palette throughout. The use of the logo works very well and ties the photography from the front cover with the fire images. I'm unsure of the size of the digital bar code, as it overpowers the inside left panel. It's more unusual for the legal info to be inside the digipak (rather than the cover) so this defies the conventions of other digipaks. With some tweaks I think it could look very authentic.

  2. I like the image used on the poster, although it looks strange having the reviews at the top and the writing at the bottom, maybbe also consider using a black background, and use white writing, but still looks really good.

The digipak looks really good too with the close up photos of the faces, i also like the writing on the disk.

  4. I like both your digipak and the advert, one aspect of the digipak that is good is the logo in the eyes of the band members, this looks different and unique. The use of color also works well and the links to your video are good as well.
The photography on both your digipak and your advert is good and requires no change, however an improvement I would suggest is that you should consider the font choice and try some others

  5. I like the fire image you have used for the back and inside cover of your album as it works well amongst the text and the photography looks very professional. I also like the inside disk logo and think this is a particular strength of your digipak. The idea of using a QR code is original and challenges traditional conventions. I am not sure that the images of your band members work as well as the other images you have used in your digipak and believe you could have a stronger album if you worked with the fire image or logo. It does provide for a more unusual digipak but it's quite intense and doesn't link with your other images. This follows through to your magazine advert as there is no direct link to your digipak other than the use of a band member. You could try using an image from your album or the logo to link them. However, I like how you have used and positioned the ratings on the magazine advert as this looks authentic. I also like the effect that has been placed over the image. You could consider changing the bottom font style to make this more unusual to follow this theme from your album.

  6. I think this looks very professional as the design is well thought out and the colour scheme works well. the text stands out well against the black background and the images of fire make it very dramatic. The images of the artist are also very dramatic and will appeal to your target audience.

  7. I like how you have included different ratings at the top of the page as this ensures the audience are aware of how well the album is doing, therefore making it more attractive. I like the use of spacing as I feel that everything ties together well and nothing looks out of place. I also like the simplicity as I feel this is effective. One improvement could to to contain an image of the album to ensure that the audience is aware of what to look for.
I like the images you have chosen to use on your digipak as they fit together well and are eye-catching. I also like how you have placed the logo of the band on the CD as this gives it more originality and makes the CD easily connectable to the band. I feel that you have used colours well and I feel that all of the panels are consistent.

  8. For your advert I feel the star ratings are too big and could be placed neater, I also feel the name of the band and album is lost at the bottom. However, I like the effect you have used on your image giving it texture. You have used a unique way of editing the picture the duplicate the featured artist. The font you have used works well with the image and fits a theme for the poster making it look stylish. You have started to create an authentic looking advert.

For your digipak I feel the inside cover could be laid out better. However, I love your simple colour scheme yet there is bright colours that make it exciting. The photography ideas are stylish and intriguing making it look unique. The idea of having the bands logo behind/as the CD really works well as your logo is a circular shape and it looks young and neat. With the bright fire you have created something unique to you. I feel you have created an authentic digipak.
